On avait r\u00e9serv\u00e9 notre Tuk-tuk, plus exactement notre Remork pour la journ\u00e9e, avec un chauffeur sympa, parlant un peu le fran\u00e7ais. On a quitt\u00e9 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel vers 9h30, pour traverser la ville et partir vers plusieurs sites un peu tout autour de la ville. On a fait pas mal de route, mais c&rsquo;\u00e9tait sympa. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 fini en 1907, soit juste apr\u00e8s que la France se soit install\u00e9e ici ! class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On est ensuite pass\u00e9s devant Ta Dumbong Kro Aung, la statue de l&rsquo;homme noir, qui marque l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e de la ville, et symbolise son histoire. Les gens sont plus souriants, et beaucoup moins de trafic sur les petites routes. Les villageois ont repris de vieilles voies ferr\u00e9es, et ont adapt\u00e9 dessus des draisines. Elles servaient au d\u00e9part au transport de marchandises, mais maintenant, ce sont les touristes qu&rsquo;elles baladent ! C&rsquo;est sympa, rapide, on passe au milieu des rizi\u00e8res, et pas si tape-cul que \u00e7a ! forme. A son sommet se trouvent un temple et une pagode qui offrent une belle vue sur la r\u00e9gion et les rizi\u00e8res. Mais cette montagne est creus\u00e9es de grottes naturelles et de gouffres, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 le th\u00e9\u00e2tre des exactions du r\u00e9gime des Khmers Rouges de Pol Pot. Ici ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9s pr\u00e8s de 10 000 personnes, qui \u00e9taient le plus souvent jet\u00e9es vivantes dans les gouffres ou abattues d&rsquo;une balle dans la t\u00eate. C&rsquo;est un lieu de m\u00e9moire important pour les habitants de Battambang. Juste avant la tomb\u00e9e de la nuit, elles sortent toutes se nourrir. Ce spectacle impressionnant dure environ 2 heures le temps qu&rsquo;elles soient toutes dehors. On a quitt\u00e9 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel vers 9h30, pour traverser la ville et partir vers plusieurs sites un peu tout autour de la ville. On a fait pas mal de route, mais c&rsquo;\u00e9tait sympa. Le temps \u00e9tait beau, un peu couvert, donc moins chaud !
