C&rsquo;est une \u00eele volcanique, d&rsquo;une vingtaine de km de long sur 11 de large au maximum. Elle a un peu une forme de poire ou de mini corse un peu aplatie c\u00f4t\u00e9 Corse du Sud&#8230; La jungle couvre 99% de sa surface, et un peu comme sur les \u00eeles Perhentian, seule une mince bande de terre le long de la mer est habitable. C\u00f4t\u00e9 ouest, la mer est clame, prot\u00e9g\u00e9e. C&rsquo;est le c\u00f4t\u00e9 qui fait face \u00e0 la Malaisie occidentale et Mersing o\u00f9 nous avons pass\u00e9 notre derni\u00e8re nuit. De l&rsquo;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, c&rsquo;est tr\u00e8s agit\u00e9. La c\u00f4te est est souvent compar\u00e9e \u00e0 Bali, avec plages de surf et grosses vagues. Nous sommes en Mer de Chine, et elle est connue pour ses temp\u00eates ! Et ses pirates ! Tioman a \u00e9t\u00e9 pendant tr\u00e8s longtemps un rep\u00e8re de pirates qui trouvaient ici du bois et de l&rsquo;eau douce ! L&rsquo;\u00eele compte huit villages\u00a0: Salang, Air Batang, Tekek, Paya, Genting, Nipah, Mukut et Juara. Il n&rsquo;y a presque aucune route, et tr\u00e8s peu de v\u00e9hicules sur l&rsquo;\u00eele. Des chemins relient les diff\u00e9rents villages entre eux, et une petite route relie le petit village de Juara \u00e0 Tekek sur la c\u00f4t\u00e9 est.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le trajet en bateau pour venir de Mersing dure deux heures. Vers 18 heures, on est sortis louer un scooter pour explorer les environs. Notre h\u00f4tel est \u00e0 plus de 30 minutes de marche de Tekek, et \u00e7a monte !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery aligncenter columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-5 is-layout-flex
