L\u00e0, la lagune se resserre, et est beaucoup moins large.<\/p>\n<p>Premier arr\u00eat, sur un bord de lagune. Il est encore t\u00f4t, 9 heures, et nous sommes tous seuls ! La lagune aux 7 couleurs m\u00e9rite bien son nom ! Ses eaux sont cristallines, et varient du vert le plus clair au bleu le plus fonc\u00e9. L\u00e0, la lagune se transforme presque en torrent, ne mesure plus que quelques m\u00e8tres de large, et un fort courant se cr\u00e9e, pour le plus grand plaisir des baigneurs. Le site est magnifique, et on y trouve de tr\u00e8s nombreuses stromatolites. La lagune de Bacalar est un des trois seuls endroits au monde o\u00f9 ces stromatolites sont encore actifs, vivants.<\/p>\n<p>Le stromatolite, appel\u00e9 aussi thrombolite, est une structure qui ressemble un peu aux r\u00e9cifs coralliens. A la fois biologique et s\u00e9dimentaire, cr\u00e9\u00e9e par des colonies de cyanobact\u00e9ries qui transforment le calcium en calcaire. Les stromatolites sont des fossiles qui datent de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque la plus ancienne de la Terre, et ils ont contribu\u00e9 il y a plus de 3,7 milliards d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es \u00e0 la transformation de notre plan\u00e8te en la rendant vivable, par la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne. Ils sont parmi les premi\u00e8res formes de vie sur la Terre. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, ils contribuent \u00e0 la limpidit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;eau de la lagune. Comme les coraux, ils sont tr\u00e8s fragiles. A Bacalar, ils sont l\u00e0 depuis des millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Ce sont ces formes rocheuses blanch\u00e2tres que l&rsquo;on voit sur les photos, qui peuvent \u00e9merger \u00e0 la Premier arr\u00eat, sur un bord de lagune. Il est encore t\u00f4t, 9 heures, et nous sommes tous seuls ! La lagune aux 7 couleurs m\u00e9rite bien son nom !
